We face multiple challenges in Ireland and globally from a range of issues not limited to inequality, economic development, public health and ecological breakdown. These issues require responses on the part of government at many levels. To ensure these responses are at the sufficient scale and correctly geared to address problems, policy makers require evidence. Empirical insights can inform us as to where we are and how we might go about achieving the goals society values.
This is especially significant where we examine labour markets, which touch on most people’s lives and determine life chances. As such, the labour market and related areas are a key site of research to evaluate present conditions and formulate new policy responses to improve livelihoods
The 10th Annual NERI Labour Market Conference will be held in the Quinn Building, UCD on Tuesday 14th June, 2022 and is in association with UCD and the Geary Institute. The conference will include research papers on various aspects of the labour market and labour market policy.
Presentations from researchers, academics, and labour market practitioners are invited for this forthcoming conference.
