The 9th Annual NERI Dónal Nevin Lecture was hosted in association with Queens Management School, Queen's University Belfast. It took place on 29 September 2021 at 4.30 as an in-person event in The Conference Hall, Riddel Hall, 185 Stranmillis Road, Belfast, BT9 5EE and an online live streamed webinar.
Paul Johnson introduced the work of the Independent Fiscal commission for Northern Ireland. He set out the remit and work of the Commission to date, the fiscal context in Northern Ireland and some of the issues in considering devolution.
Dr. Graham Brownlow, Senior Lecture from Queens Management School, Queen's University Belfast. Graham analysed aspects of the lecture with the hope of opening up a more engaged discussion with audience members. Clodagh Rice, BBC chaired a Q&A session and put forward questions to both Paul and Graham.
