2025 marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Edward T. Nevin, Senior Research Officer at the Economic Research Institute (ERI) in Dublin between April 1961 and September 1963. During this period, he published fifteen papers and articles on different aspects of the Irish economy, including seven of the first seventeen Research Papers published by the ERI. To mark the Centenary, Michael Nevin, author of ‘Edward Nevin: An Impression of his Life, Times and Legacy’, reviews his work on the Irish economy and concludes with some reflections on its relevance to contemporary issues.
